about

Emily Quane paints with oil, acrylic and water color on canvas, wood, and paper. She also draws with charcoal on paper, and on painted canvases.

Living in Europe as a young artist enabled Emily to discover firsthand the artwork of the European masters. The Italian artist Modigliani has had the strongest impact on Emily's style and art education.

In addition to the European years, three years in Asia has profoundly impacted Emily's artistic process.

Creating visual art is a way for Emily to express a deep and abiding love for God's greatest masterpiece: humanity.

While painting, Emily experiences at once, euphoria, quietude and gratitude. It is the artist's hope that the viewer will see and feel these qualities within the art.
